Myrtle Hopkins

Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Centre, St. John's on Friday, February 13, 2015, Myrtle (Whalen) Hopkins, of Clarenville, formerly of Old Perlican, aged 82 years. Predeceased by husband, Max; parents, Samuel and Minnie Whalen; sister, Jane; brothers: Ches, Ernest and Frank. Leaving to mourn with many fond and special memories, sons: Terry (Kathryn), St. John's, Craig (Paula), Alberta, Doug (Darlene), Burnt Point, Brad (Margie), Old Perlican; daughters, Valerie, Old Perlican and Janice (Fabian), Clarenville, with whom she resided; grandchildren: Dwayne (Nicole), Adam, Bryan (Alicia), Ryan (Jessica), Ian, Danielle (Andrew), Max, Emily, Alex and Liam; great grandchildren: Kennedy, Lakelyn, Charlotte and Charlie; sisters, Delilah Belle Soper and Joyce (Sam) Soper; sisters-in-law, Mildred Whalen and Eva Best; special niece, Judy (Kent) Martin; as well as a number of other nieces, nephews, extended family and circle of friends. Visitation at Hopkins' Funeral Home, Old Perlican, Sunday, February 15, 2015, 10:00am. to 9:00pm. and Monday, February 16, 2015, 10:00am. to 12:00pm. Funeral service to take place on Monday, February 16, 2015 @ 2:00pm. from Hopkins' Funeral Home Chapel, Old Perlican. Interment to follow in the United Church Cemetery, Old Perlican.
