Alice Squires

After several years of dealing with the struggles of Alheimer's Disease, Alice Squires of Sibley's Cove passed away peacefully on Monday, October 28, 2013, aged 87 years. Alice is the last family member to join all those who have gone before her. She is predeceased by her parents, Ida and Herbert Button; her infant daughter; brothers: Raymond, Wilbert and Gideon; sisters: Mary, Ann, Martha, Frances, Alma and Edith. Alice is survived by her husband of nearly 67 years, John Squires; daughters: Ida (Seymour) of Toronto, Daphne (Clyde) of Burnt Islands, and Jackie (Carson) of Old Perlican; grandaughters: Darlene and Glenda both of Toronto; grandsons: Christopher and Charles, both of Burnt Islands and Jonathan of Old Perlican; great grandchildren: Sarah and Quade of Toronto and Ethan and Evan of Isle Aux Morts. Alice will also be missed by her too many to mention nieces and nephews and her many dear friends. Visitation will take place on Wednesday, October 30, 2013, 11:00am. to 9:00pm. Funeral service to be held on Thursday, October 31, 2013 at 2:00pm. from Bethel United Church, Sibley's Cove. Interment to follow in the United Church Cemetery, Sibley's Cove. As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made in Alice's memory to the Alheimer's Society or to Bethel United Church, Sibley's Cove.
