Gertrude Snelgrove

Passed peacefully away at the Interfaith Citizen's Home, Carbonear on Wednesday, May 15, 2013, Gertrude Snelgrove of Grate's Cove, aged 85 years. Predeceased by her husband, Lloyd G. Snelgrove. Gertrude leaves to mourn daughters: Ruth (Robert), Lorraine (Gary), Florence (Derrick), and Effie (Conrad); sons: Ray (Jenevieve), Clayton (Pearl), and David (Lucy); 15 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; sisters; Winnie, Minnie and Nina; and brothers: Frank and John; as well as a large circle of family and friends. Gertrude loved her family immensely and was dearly loved by them. She found great joy in many of the little things in life. Though removed from her family and friends, her presence is deeply etched in the hearts of those who knew her best. Resting at Hopkins' Funeral Home Friday, May 17, 2013 from 10:00am. until 10:00pm. And on Saturday, May 18, 2013 at Grace United, Grate's Cove from 10:30am. ~ 12:00pm. Funeral service to be held at Grace United, Grate's Cove on Saturday, May 18, 2013 @ 2:00pm. Interment to follow at the United Church Cemetery, Grate's Cove.
