Llewellyn Matthews

Passed peacefully away on March 29, 2013 at the Harbour Lodge Nursing Home, Llewellyn Matthews, formerly of Brownsdale, aged 87 years. Predeceased by parents, John and Mary Ann; brother, Roland; sisters, Sadie and Eva; and son-in-law, Garfield. Leaving to mourn, his wife of 67 years, Florence; sons: Walt (Effie), New Chelsea, Freeman and Tony, both of St. John's; daughters: Daphne, Old Perlican, Louise (Kenneth), Sibley's Cove, and Velma (Donnie), Gull Island; sister, Eileen (Tom) Noel, Bridgeport; thirteen grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; as well as a large circle of family and friends. Resting at Hopkins' Funeral Home until time of funeral. Funeral service to take place from Hopkins' Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, April 1, 2013 @ 1:00pm. As an expression of sympathy donations may be made in Llewellyn's memory to The Newfoundland Pony Society or to a charity of one's choice.
