Richard "Dick" North

In the presence of his family, Richard "Dick" Joseph North passed away at The Health Sciences Centre in St. John's, aged 69 years. A gentle soul, Dick spent his life where he was happiest, on the water and with his family. He was predeceased by his parents, Patrick and Julia and brother, Martin. Dick was a loving husband to Linda and loving father to David (Tara), Bernie (Lori) and Elizabeth (Joey) and a caring and adored grandfather of Jordan, Marcus and Shae-Lynn (of Elizabeth) and Peyton (of David). Dick was also a loving brother to Elizabeth Murphy (Brendan, deceased), Edward (Josephine), Catherine Eddy (Clarence, deceased), Maryann Hatch (Morris) and sister-in-law Leona and respected uncle to many nieces and nephews both near and far. Dick also leaves to mourn his Aunt Margaret Noonan, many close cousins, and sisters-in-law, Joan Eddy (Wilfred), Alice Sparkes (Roy, deceased), and Frances Pryor (Heber). The family will be receiving freinds and relatives Monday, April 11 and Tuesday, April 12 from 10:00am. until 10:00pm. Funeral service to be held Wednesday, April 13, 2011 at 11:00am. at The Parish of the Assumption, Bay De Verde. Interment to follow at The Roman Catholic Cemetery, Bay De Verde. As an expression of sympathy donations may be made in his memory to The Richard North Memorial Fund or to a charity of one's choice.
