It is with great sadness that we, the family, say goodbye to Eva Barrett, beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother, who passed away peacefully at the Private Josiah Squibb Memorial Pavilion, Carbonear on Friday, March 21, 2025, aged 82 years.

Predeceased by parents, Alan and Elizabeth Whalen; husband, Gerald Barrett;
brothers: Lawrence, Eldon (Pauline), Walt and Rex; sisters: Minnie (Allan), Melvie (Roy), and Ivy (Ron).

Leaving to mourn with heavy hearts are daughters: Diane (Jim), Norma (Jim), and Bernice (Mark);
grandchildren: Steven (Colleen), Ryan (Ashley), Christopher (Brooklyn), and Kayla (Curtis);
great grandchildren: Caden, Peyton, and William;
brother, Max (Marilyn); sister, Evelyn (Aiden); brother-in-law, Hedley;
sisters-in-law: Daphne (Sterry), Annie, Bernice, and Brenda;
as well as a large number of special nieces, nephews, extended family and circle of friends.

Our family would to express our heartfelt thanks and appreciation to the staff of 3 North at the Private Josiah Squibb Memorial Pavilion, Carbonear for the care and compassion given to our mom and nan over the past one and a half years.

Visitation at Hopkins' Funeral Home, Old Perlican on Monday, March 24, 2025 2:00 pm. to 5:00 pm. and 7:00 pm. to 9:00 pm.
Funeral service to take place from Hopkins' Funeral Home Chapel, Old Perlican on Tuesday, March 25, 2025 at 2:00 pm.
Interment to follow in the United Church Cemetery, Old Perlican.

As an expression of sympathy a donation may be made in Eva's memory to St. Andrew's By The Sea United Church, Old Perlican.
