Anthony Doyle
1958-2025

Tony Doyle, aged 67 years, of Bay de Verde, passed peacefully away on
February 26, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.
A devoted husband, father, grandfather, and lifelong fisherman, he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Born on February 1, 1958 in Bay de Verde, Tony spent his life on the water, making a living as a dedicated fisherman. He had a deep respect for the sea and took great pride in his work, providing for his family, and contributing to his community. His passion for the fishery extended beyond securing his own livelihood, as he was a proud and active member of the FFAW, where he volunteered countless hours over his forty years advocating for the rights and well being of his fellow fishermen.
Beyond his work on the water, Tony was a valued member of his community. He gave his time selflessly as an active member of the Harbour Authority, since its formation in 1997, in serving with the Volunteer Fire Department for many years, and as a member of the Town Council. Whether helping to improve local fisheries, responding to emergencies or working to better his town, he always stepped up when he was needed.
While he was deeply committed to his work and community, his greatest love was his family. He was a loving and devoted husband to Marie (Broaders), who stood by his side through every season of life. Together they built a home filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories. As a father to Dawn and Tommy, he passed down his strong work ethic, deep values, and love for the sea. His greatest joy came in his role of grandfather/poppa, where he found endless happiness in the laughter, stories, and adventures shared with his grandchildren, Zander, Madison and Claire.
Tony will be remembered for his kindness, his dedication to his community and his unwavering love for his family. His legacy will live on in the lives he touched, the waters he sailed, and the family who will forever hold him close in their hearts.
Leaving to mourn is his loving wife of 47 years, Marie; daughter, Dawn; son, Thomas (Angela);
grandchildren: Zander, Madison and Claire; sisters, Bride (Don) and Patsy (Gary);
nieces and nephews; as well as large number of extended family and wonderful circle of friends.
It would be amiss if we didn't mention his fur babies: Reg, Jess, Tom Tom, Ranger, Darrbie, and Oreo.
