Catherine Bursey
1948-2024

It is with profound sadness that the family of Catherine (Kay) Marie
Bursey announce her passing at the Health Sciences Centre, St. John's
on December 27, 2024, at the age of 76 years.
Predeceased by her loving husband, Douglas Bursey; her parents, Charlotte Murphy and Thomas Cahill; her brother, Donald; sons, Keith and Carl; son-in-law, Lester; and brother-in-law, Vince.
She will be lovingly remembered by her children: Terry (Tanus), Tina, Craig (Sonya), Rick (Delores), Joanne, and Jill (Dave);
a large number of grandchildren and great grandchildren;
sisters: Philomena (Reg), Brenda (Glenn), Jeanie (Gerard) and Ann Marie;
brothers: Thomas (Marie), Pat and Gerard; sisters-in-law, Frances and Eleanor (Ed);
very special neighbours and friends, Bob and Sheryl Bursey and family and Carl;
a large circle of nieces, nephews and cousins; as well as further extended family and circle of friends.
A special thank you to Tanus White, who cared for her during her last weeks with us.
As we remember Catherine, we take comfort in the countless memories she leaves behind. Her strength, compassion and nurturing spirit will be forever cherished by her family and friends.

Visitation to take place at Hopkins' Funeral Home, Old Perlican on Friday, January 3, 2025 2:00 pm. to 4:00 pm. and 7:00 pm. to 9:00 pm.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am. on Saturday, January 4, 2025 at St. Andrew's By The Sea United Church, Old Perlican.
Interment to follow in the United Church Cemetery, Old Perlican.
We are grateful for the outpouring of love and support during this time of loss.
As an expression of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, a donation may be made in her memory to the Alzheimer Society of Newfoundland and Labrador at Donate Alzheimer Society of Newfoundland and Labrador or to a charity of one's choice.
