Mary Bertha King
1945-2024

Passed peacefully away at St. Clare's Mercy Hospital, St. John's on
Monday, December 16, 2024, Mary Bertha King of Paradise, aged 78
years.
Predeceased by parents, Isaac and Ethel Emberley of Bay de Verde; parents-in-law, Eli and Sarah King of Grate's Cove.
Leaving to mourn, husband of 61 years, Boyd King;
children: Barbara, Don (Madonna), Wayne (Nikki), and Cory (Alexandra);
grandchildren: Brandon (Sandra), Amber, Patrick, Mary Kate, Victoria, Devon, Colin, Sarah, Summer and Mckinley.
Bertha grew up as an only child in Bay de Verde with her parents. She married and raised her children, living in many areas of Newfoundland with her husband, who was a teacher. She spent time living in Ontario and then retired back to her home province.
Bertha was a proud wife, mother, grandmother and friend to many. She will be forever missed and loved by her husband, Boyd and her family.
Cremation has taken place.
There will be no visitation at this time. Funeral service will be held at a later date.
As an expression of sympathy a donation may be made her memory to The Canadian Cancer Society or to a charity of one's choice.
