Doris Thorne

Passed away on September 27, 2024 at St. Patrick's Mercy Home, St. John's, Doris Myrtle Thorne (Lockyer) of Brownsdale aged 91 years.

Predeceased by husband, Frank (2010); parents, Adeline and Wesley Lockyer; and parents-in-law, Emily and George Thorne.

Leaving to mourn daughter, Pamela; sons, Gary (Rita) and Greg (Florance); grandchildren: Angela (Jeff Wall), Christopher (Megan) Thorne, Andrew (Kristie) Thorne, and Derek (Kate) Thorne; great grandchildren: Violet, Leo, Ruby, Calvin and Declan; brothers and sisters: Margaret (Walter) Hodder, Herman (Isabel) Lockyer, Vera (Victor, deceased) Green, Sheila (Doug) Higdon, Wallace (Judy) Lockyer and their families; as well as extended family members and circle of friends.

Resting at Hopkins' Funeral Home, Old Perlican on Sunday, September 29, 2024 2:00 pm. to 4:00 pm. and 7:00 pm. to 9:00 pm.
Then resting at Brownsdale United Church, Brownsdale on Monday, September 30, 2024 2:00 pm. to 4:00 pm. and 7:00 pm. to 9:00 pm.
Funeral service to take place on Tuesday, October 1, 2024 at 2:00 pm. from Brownsdale United Church, Brownsdale.
Interment to follow in the United Church Cemetery, Brownsdale.
