1931-2024

Passed peacefully away, surrounded by his family, at the Private
Josiah Squibb Memorial Pavilion, Carbonear, on Saturday, February 17,
2024 Thomas Blundon of Bay de Verde, aged 92 years.
Predeceased by granddaughter, Claire Newman; parents, Harvey John and Suzanna (Lockyer) Blundon;
sister, Violet and husband Lloyd Bowering; brother, Stephen Joseph "June"; sister-in-law, Vickie Blundon;
brother-in-law, Kevin MacDonald; and nephew, Gordon Fowler.
Left with broken hearts but with memories which will surely be cherished are his loving wife of 46 years, Marian Ann;
children: Deanna Newman (Darren), Debbie Blundon (Gord) and Tommy Blundon (Stacey);
grandchildren: Erin and Aidan Newman, Tamara Drover and Nolan Blundon;
brother, Charlie Blundon; sisters: Mary MacDonald, Nellie Peddle (Stan) and Joyce Fowler (Ernest);
as well as a number of nieces, nephews, extended family and circle of friends.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to the nursing staff of 3 North at the PJSMP for the wonderful care and attention that was provided. It brought such comfort to know that Thomas was well cared for and to know that he enjoyed his time there and his chats with you all.
Visitation at Hopkins' Funeral Home, Old Perlican Tuesday, February 20, 2024 2:00 pm. to 9:00 pm.
Funeral service to take place on Wednesday, February 21, 2024 at 2:00 pm. from St. Barnabas Anglican Church, Bay de Verde.
"It's now time for us to send you off to your final resting place. We were fortunate to have you for as long as we did, and that, along with our memories will help us through this difficult time. Go now and fly with the angels, and know that each time we cast a line, or see a sparrow on the tree, we'll think of you."
