Leaving to mourn his loss are his wife, Bessie, of nearly 53 years; his four children, whom he dearly loved: Rene (Jennifer), Arlene Amos (Stephen), Scott and Bryan (Erin); his seven precious grandchildren whom he loved and adored: Chloe, Liam, Levi, Rielly, Keegan, Kael and Camille; brothers, Edmund (Marina) and Raymond (Norah); sister, Genevieve Janes (Roy); brother-in-law, Eldon Emberley; sister-in-law, Susan Stone; special family friend, Geraldine Rodgers; many nieces, nephews and friends; as well as our dear priest, Father Julius Nwosu, whom we all consider a part of our family.

Bren spent 30 years as an educator in his hometown of Bay de Verde. He loved this little town and was an active volunteer for many years both for his town and parish. He will be dearly missed by many who knew him.

During his long battle with cancer we have made many visits to health care facilities and have required the services of many health care professionals. So many that we will not try to name anyone personally so that we do not miss anyone. We will just say thank you to all the doctors, nurses and support staff at the Cancer Clinic, St. John's and Carbonear and a very special thank you to all at the Dr. A. A. Wilkinson Memorial Health Centre, Old Perlican who took such special care of him during his final days.
