Ruby Squires

Ruby Squires with so much love for her family, passed peacefully away at the Wilkinson Memorial Health Center, Old Perlican, on April 11, 2023, aged 81 years, leaving us broken hearted but with a lifetime of memories that will never be forgotten.

Predeceased by her son, Baxter Keith Squires; husband, Baxter Squires;
parents, Reuben and Margaret Button; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Russell and Florance Squires.

Remembered forever by her daughter, Karen (Carl) Riggs; granddaughters, Nicole (Matthew) Eagan and Jessica Squires (Kyle);
daughter-in-law, Denise O'Brien; step grandson, Daniel Gosse; brother-in-law, Aubrey (Glennys) Squires;
special cousin and best friend, Joyce Eddy; aunts, Shirley Pryor and Violet Rose;
uncle, Allen Coish; as well as an extended circle of family and friends.

Ruby, our mom and grandmother loved her family dearly. She always enjoyed a bit of fun which was shown by her contagious smile and laugh. Mom also loved socializing with the residents and staff of Kingsway Living Baccalieu Retirement Home, Old Perlican where she resided for the past ten years. Our mom and grandmother was a friend to all and will be greatly missed by those who knew her.

Visitation at Hopkins' Funeral Home, Old Perlican on Thursday, April 13, 2023 2:00 pm. to 9:00 pm.
Funeral service to take place on Friday, April 14, 2023 at 2:00 pm. from Bethel United Church, Sibley's Cove.
Interment to follow in the United Church Cemetery, Sibley's Cove.
