Ruby Riggs

Passed away peacefully on March 22, 2022 at the Wilkinson Memorial Health Centre, in the presence of her loving family,
Ruby Louise Riggs (nee Hopkins) of Brownsdale in her 79th year.
Predeceased by her parents, Eli and Sarah Jane Hopkins; son, David;
brothers: Abram (Doll), Fred (Mary) and Sterling Hopkins; sisters, Clara (Willis) Matthews and Annie (Ariel) Hopkins;
brothers in law, William Riggs and Wilfred (Dot) Riggs; sisters in law, Mary Jane (Roy) Fanjoy and Alice Henderson.
Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories her husband, Melvin of 63 years; daughters, Valerie (Junior) Piercey and Cheryl (Eddie) Noonan;
grandchildren: Kimberley Rodgers (Nelson Butler), Ryan (Tiffany) Piercey, Cassandra (Jessica) Gidge, Caitlin (Taylor) Fauth and Zachary Noonan;
great grandchildren: Brandon Piercey, Brady Rodgers and Keira Rodgers;
step grandchildren: Laura (Jimmy) Coates, Courtney (Chris) Thorne and Brian (Alisha) Coates;
sisters in law: Lizzie Hopkins, Ruth Riggs and Josie Hopkins;
as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
A special thank you to her niece, Judy King, who was there when we needed her the most.
Visitation at Hopkins' Funeral Home, Old Perlican on Thursday, March 24, 2022, 7:00 pm. to 9:00 pm. and Friday, March 25, 2022, 2:00 pm. to 4:00 pm. and 7:00 pm. to 9:00 pm.
Funeral service to take place on Sunday, March 27, 2022 at 2:30 pm. from Brownsdale United Church, Brownsdale.
Interment to follow.
