Vickers Vimy Blundon
1936-2022

It is with broken hearts that we, the family, announce the passing of
our beloved wife, mother and grandmother, Vimy.
Vimy was born to the late Benjamin and Flora Warford of Bell Island, Newfoundland. In 1956 she received her teaching license from the Department of Education in St. John's, Newfoundland. That same year she began her teaching career at St. Barnabas School in Bay de Verde. After marrying Eric Blundon in 1958 they settled and raised their family in Bay de Verde. She ended her working career as Post Master at the local post office.
She is survived by her husband, Eric of 63 years; her daughter, Wendy (Brian); and her granddaughter, Kennedy.
Vimy is also survived by her brothers: Wince (Una), Benjamin (Jean), Wayne (Judy), Robert (Irene), and Charlie (Marilyn);
sister in law, Florence Noble; and her loving nieces, nephews and friends.
She is predeceased by her parents; her son, Blair; her granddaughter, Jordan Alexander; and her brothers, Woodrow and Sidney Warford.
Cremation has taken place.
Visitation at Hopkins' Funeral Home, Old Perlican on Thursday, March 24, 2022 from 11:00 am. to 2:00 pm.
Funeral service will be held on Friday, March 25, 2022 at 2:00 pm. from St. Barnabas Anglican Church, Bay de Verde.
A luncheon will follow at the Anglican Church Hall in Bay de Verde.
As an expression of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, a donation in Vimy's memory may be made to the Carbonear food bank or to a charity of one's choice.
