1941-2022

It is with great sadness that the family of Marguerite (Green) Rice
announce her passing on January 5, 2022, at the age of 80 years.
Marguerite passed away in the presence of her daughter, Catherine at Carbonear General Hospital, Carbonear.
She was predeceased by her husband, Philip; and parents, Irene and Abraham Green.
Marguerite leaves to mourn her daughters, Catherine (Darrell) Hatch and Sonia (Clinton) Tucker;
grandchildren: Tyler, Savannah, Brody, Allyah and AJ; sisters: Gertie (Don) LeShane, Sylvia (Gord) Adams and Florence Meadus;
sister-in-law, Marguerite D. Rice; her good friend, Pat (Doll) Kehoe; as well as a large circle of extended family and friends.
The family wishes to thank the doctors and staff of Wilkinson Memorial Health Centre, Old Perlican for their kindness and support.
On her last day, Marguerite was treated to exceptional service by Drs. Gert Nell, Philip Holloway and Mitchell Kehoe as well as nurses, Cindy Sutton and Heather Coish.
We are eternally grateful to these healthcare workers for the comfort and care they provided to our mom.
Visitation will take place on Friday, January 7, 2022 at Hopkins Funeral Home, Old Perlican from 6:00 pm. to 8:00 pm. according to COVID restrictions and protocol. NL VaxPass required for entry. Masks must be worn at all times. Visitation will be restricted to one family/bubble at a time.
Funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 8, 2022 at Assumption Parish, Bay de Verde by invitation only, due to COVID restrictions. Interment to follow.
As an expression of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Marguerite's memory to the local Salvation Army.
