Eleanor Rodgers
Passed away, one week shy of her 94th. birthday, on September 23, 2019, Eleanor Rodgers (Case), originally of Bell Island.
Eleanor was the last sibling of the Case family (George and Effie). Predeceased by husband Robert Rodgers of Old Perlican; sisters, Geraldine Case and Elaine Durdle; brothers, Clive and Edgar.
Leaving to mourn are her step daughters, Lorraine (Ronald) Robbins and Linda (Bert) Butt and their families;
nieces, Jill (Gus) Butler and Dianne Walsh; nephews, Edgar Durdle and Keith (Eva) Durdle and families.
Eleanor was a teacher for 36 years and spent the last 18 years of her career at John Hoskins Elementary in Old Perlican.
To this day many of her students remember her fondly.
For the last seven years of her life Eleanor resided at North Pond Manor in Torbay, where she was treated with the utmost respect and kindness.
As per her request, cremation has taken place and a graveside service will be held at the United Church Cemetery, Old Perlican on Saturday, September 28 at 2:00 pm.
