Passed peacefully away on Wednesday, July 31, 2019 at the Wilkinson
Memorial Health Centre, Old Perlican, in the presence of her loving
family, Carmel Anne Hatch of Red Head Cove, aged 80 years.
Predeceased by her parents, John and Rita O'Leary; sister, Genevieve Hanlon; parents in law, William and Bridget Hatch; and other members of the O'Leary and Hatch families.
Leaving to mourn, with fond memories, her loving husband of 59 years, Joseph Hatch; sons: Tony (Florence), Brian (Josephine), Bruce (Melvie), Carl (Stephanie), Keith (Dale), and Kevin (Joanna); daughters, Lisa and Joanne (Darren);
grandchildren: Joey (Melinda), Becky (Darrin), Bruce (Karen), Brittany, Karla, Kelsey, Darrell, Deanne, Landen and Kyle;
great grandchildren: Logan, Bailee, Hayden, Leah, Liam and Noelle;
step grandchildren, Blair and Blaine; step great grandchildren: Trenten, Brinley and Braylen;
brothers: Joseph (Agnes), Kevin, Gerry (Danita), Don (Karen), Derm (Jane), Edward (Phyllis) and Cyril (Audrey); sisters: Marcella (Bill), Bridget (Paul, deceased), Francis (Arthur), Barbara (Eric) and Paula (Hal); as well as an extended circle of family and friends.
The family would like to extend sincere appreciation to all staff of the Baccalieu Retirement Living Residence who provided such great care and went above and beyond for Carmel.
Special thanks as well to Linda Pottle who was a special friend giving Carmel exceptional loving, tender care.
Thank you to the doctors, nurses and staff of Wilkinson Memorial Health Centre, especially her family doctor, Dr. Philip Holloway, whose genuine display of care and compassion for our loved one, her husband and all family members during this difficult time deserves special recognition for his utmost professionalism and empathy.
Visitation at Hopkins' Funeral Home, Old Perlican on Friday, August 2, 2019 10:00 am. to 9:00 pm. with vigil at 7:30 pm.
Funeral Service to take place on Saturday, August 3, 2019 at 11:00 am. from Assumption Parish Roman Catholic Church, Bay de Verde. Interment to follow in the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Bay de Verde.
