Passed peacefully away, surrounded by his loving family, at the A. A.
Wilkinson Memorial Health Centre, Old Perlican on Friday, March 1,
2019, Ronald James Barrett of Old Perlican, aged 92 years.
Predeceased by parents, James and Jemima; infant daughter, Bonnie; brothers: Harold (Stella), Clarence, Wallace and Fred. Leaving with fond and loving memories, his wife of 60 years, Ivy (Whalen); sons, Fred (Christina) and Raymond (Rita); daughters: Donna (Bren) Power, Maxine (Lewellyn) Blundon and Jackie (Sheldon) Brookings; grandchildren: Brittany (Kevin), Mitchell, Brianna, Robert, Raymond, Matthew, Mark, Ryan (Shawna) and Rebecca (Ryan); great grandchildren, Natalie and Kali; sisters-in-law: Rhoda, Flora and Louise; as well as a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
The family would like to acknowledge and thank the doctors, nurses and staff of the A. A. Wilkinson Memorial Health Centre for Ronald's care over the past few months
and especially his home care workers, Audrey Pryor and Corenna Doyle.
Visitation at Hopkins' Funeral Home, Old Perlican on Saturday, March 2, 2019 2:00 pm. to 9:00 pm. and on Sunday, March 3, 2019 12:00 pm. to 9:00 pm.
Funeral service to be held on Monday, March 4, 2019 at 2:00 pm. from St. Andrew's By The Sea United Church, Old Perlican.
Interment to follow in the United Church Cemetery, Old Perlican.
As an expression of sympathy, flowers gratefully accepted or donations may be made in Ronald's memory to St. Andrew's By The Sea United Church, Old Perlican.
