Lillian Spurrell

Passed peacefully away at St. Clare's Mercy Hospital, St. John's on November 17, 2018, Lillian Ruth Spurrell, aged 89 years of Daniel's Cove, Trinity Bay, originally from Badger's Quay, Bonavista Bay. Predeceased by her parents, Lucy and Joseph Spurrell; brother, Robert Spurrell of Badger's Quay; and her lifelong friend, Jerome Joseph Howard of Daniel's Cove, Trinity Bay. Leaving to mourn, sister-in-law, Laura Spurrell Kirkland; nieces: Judy Spurrell, Geraldine Sturge and Valerie Mayo; nephew, Christopher Spurrell; the Howard and Kelly families of Daniel's Cove; special friend, Mary Kelly; and a large circle of friends. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will take place at Hopkins' Funeral Home, Old Perlican on Thursday, November 22, 2018 2:00 pm. to 9:00 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, Bay de Verde on Friday, November 23, 2018 at 11:00 am. with interment to follow in the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Grate's Cove. As an expression of sympathy, flowers are gratefully accepted or donations may be made in Lillian's memory to a charity of one's choice. Her kind and gentle ways were a reflection of a life well lived in faith.
