Annie Squires

It is with broken hearts but a lifetime of memories that we say goodbye to our precious Mom, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Sister, Aunt and friend. Annie Mildred (Rose) Squires, aged 86 years, surrounded by her loving family, passed peacefully away on March 6, 2016 at Collingwood Downs, Clarkes' Beach, formerly of Old Perlican. Predeceased by husband, Chesley; son, Boyd; great grandson, Kaeden MacIntyre; sister, Marjorie and brother-in-law, Morley Button; brothers, Harold and Samson. Leaving to mourn, son, Glenn (Lee), Old Perlican; grandchildren: Jennifer (Stan) MacIntyre, St. John's, Blair (Shannon) Squires, Wabush, Blaine (Waylon Drake), Clarenville and Trevor Hodder, St. John's; great grandchildren: Anna and Kristopher MacIntyre and Brinley Drake; her children of the heart, Gerald Button, Harvey Button, Audrey Pryor and Evelyn Pryor who consider Annie their second mother; sister, Enid (Roy) Olford; brother, Will (Catherine) Rose; sisters-in-law; Florence Rose, Carol Rose and Florence Squires; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. A special thank you from the family to the staff of Collingwood Downs. Lots of love to Annie's special angels, Lisa Roberts and Donna Barrett for their loving care during her stay there and also to the manager, Claudine Rose, who kept us on course and assisted us in so many ways with Annie's care. Resting at Hopkins' Funeral Home, Old Perlican, with visitation on Monday, March 7, 2016, 10:00am. to 9:00pm., Tuesday, March 8, 2016, 10:00am. to 9:00pm., and Wednesday, March 9, 2016, 10:00am. to 11:45am. Funeral service to held on Wednesday, March 9, 2016 at 2:00pm. from St. Andrew's By The Sea United Church, Old Perlican. Interment to follow in the United Church Cemetery, Old Perlican. As an expression of sympathy, flowers are gratefully accepted or donations may be made in Annie's memory to a charity of one's choice.
